Molecatchers Make a Wish…

The Guild of British Molecatchers

Fundraiser: Mole Catcher

The Guild of British Molecatchers is a unique group of people that work to provide a level of welfare for moles whilst under control methods. The traditional form of mole control has returned to the shires of the United Kingdom and the work of the Guild is to ensure that through both awareness and control, moles will be treated in an honest and respectful manner.

Membership to the Guild is through donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK, as it is not a commercial concern. It provides opportunities for its members to learn of moles and the correct method for their control to ensure a humane and considerate attitude to this rarely seen British Mammal.

Visit the Guild website for more information, or click here

Make a Wish – http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/molecatchers

Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK.

Make-A-Wish Foundation UK grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. The charity was founded in the UK in 1986 and since then we have granted over 5,500 magical wishes to children and young people aged between three and seventeen years old. There are over 20,000 children in the UK living with a life-threatening illness and we believe that every one of them deserves to experience the magic of a Make-A-Wish wish. Anyone can refer a child to us. This year, around 1,000 children will turn to Make-A-Wish to have their special wish granted. Our wishes are truly magical. A small and dedicated team of professional wishgranters works alongside hundreds of volunteers to turn our children’s wishes into reality. Whether a wish is to be a princess or a train driver for the day, own the latest TV or computer equipment, meet a favourite celebrity or just enjoy some special time away from home with their family, a wish come true brings so much to a child’s life and provides memories that last a lifetime for the whole family. Make-A-Wish needs to raise over £5 million per year in order to continue granting these magical wishes. We receive no government funding or lottery grants, relying on the generous donations of the public – and that’s why, for our charity, every donation really counts.

One of the main aims of The Guild of British Molecatchers is to uphold respect for the “Mole“, as part of this daily trap checking is required. In short as stated in the Guilds code of practice,

  • quote……   Consideration by members to the welfare of the trapped animal endorses the need to check all operational traps daily.

Please sign the petition today, it will only take a minute, make you feel good and ensure you get paid quicker ;-)

Country Moles

Welcome to Country Moles

Over the last year there has been an increasing interest and demand for Mole Catchers. Here you will be able to find a local Guild Accredited Molecatcher to help you. Country Moles was born as a result of Essex Moles, founded earlier this year, and its ongoing success. Essex Moles would now like to encourage responsible control for the welfare of Moles as well as promoting other Molecatchers throughout the UK who are accredited by the Guild of British Molecatchers.

If you are unable to find a Molecatcher close by, please contact me.

Please look in the Country Molecatcher section to the right to find your local Molecatcher.

Country Moles offers free listings for all Molecatchers who have been accredited by the Guild of British Molecatchers, as well as full page advertising under the Spotlight listings, this is ideal for new Mole catchers who wish to promote their services with more impact. Accreditation  through the Guild is available, see the guild website for more information.

All accredited members listed on Country Moles follow the code of practice as laid down by The Guild of British Molecatchers.  If this is not followed and we become aware of this your listing will be removed.
